BeoSound 8, BeoPlay A8, A9 and PlayMaker Input Cables

This product is a range of high quality Pure-Crystal Oxygen-Free Copper, audiophile cables to allow you to connect external audio devices directly to your B&O BeoSound 8 or BeoPlay A8 iPod Dock, BeoPlay A9 wireless speaker or PlayMaker wireless music streamer, which will even work if you don't have a Bang and Olufsen hifi system or television. Please choose the input device that you want to play through your BeoSound 8, A8 or PlayMaker from the list on the left side of the page before ordering - if you are in any doubt, please ask!

To play music from an external device via this cable, please disconnect or disable all other devices connected to your BeoSound 8, A8, A9 or PlayMaker and the system will automatically switch to the Aux socket. If you are connecting an early iPod or iPhone via this cable, please note that the cable will not charge the device. If you are connecting your BeoSound 8 or PlayMaker to a volume-controlled output socket (ie. a headphone socket or a Powerlink socket), then you will need to set this to approx. 75% of maximum volume, so that the BeoSound 8/A8/A9/PlayMaker volume control will operate as intended. Your BeoSound 8, A8, A9 or PlayMaker can be used as a link speaker in a multi-room Masterlink network by connecting it via the PC port of a Beolink Active link room controller. Please ensure that you specify the correct version of Beolink Active if you require this option.

This cable can be specified to your requirements, allowing you to choose from many popular audio products to connect into your BeoSound 8, BeoPlay A8, A9 or PlayMaker wireless music streamer, including:-

* A Powerlink output from a B&O audio or video master

* Aux or Tape output from an older B&O audio system (1960 onwards)

* Stereo RCA plugs to fit the Line Out or Tape Out sockets of most home audio systems

* A non-B&O TV (via the 3.5mm headphone socket)

* An early iPod or iPhone (via the 3.5mm headphone socket-this cable will NOT charge the battery)

* An MP3 player or portable music player (via the 3.5mm headphone socket)

* Beolink Active mk.1 (Type No. 161x) via the PC port

* Beolink Active mk.2 (Type No. 163x) via the PC port

Simply disconnect any other devices connected to your BeoSound 8, BeoPlay A8, A9 or PlayMaker and it will switch to the Aux Input automatically.
