Powerlink to Amplifier RCA Cable for Bang & Olufsen

This product is a high quality audiophile cable to allow you to connect a non-B&O amplifier and conventional passive loudspeakers to your active Bang and Olufsen hifi system using the Powerlink outputs, where the non-B&O amplifier has the industry-standard twin RCA (phono) plugs. You will then be able to use your B&O system or B&O remote control to control the level of the loudspeakers (just leave the volume on the non-B&O amplifier set at or near to its maximum level). This cable will fit almost all B&O audio systems manufactured since 1990 - if you are in any doubt, please ask!

We are particularly proud of this cable, which we consider to be a neat solution to allow you to integrate your B&O system into a conventional hifi or home cinema installation, whilst keeping control at your fingertips with your B&O remote. Many Bang and Olufsen dealers will tell you that this can't be done - but we can prove them wrong!

Cable specifications:-

* Twin Screened Pure-Crystal Oxygen-Free Copper cable with Royal Blue sheath

* Signal conductors (x 2): 7 x 0.2mm PC-OFC copper

* Screening conductors (x 2): 16 x 0.12mm PC-OFC copper

* Neutrik/Rean metal-bodied 5-pin DIN plug with gold plated pins

* 2 x 24 carat Gold-Plated metal-bodied RCA plugs

Our five pin DIN cables will fit and work perfectly in the eight pin DIN Powerlink sockets on newer B&O systems. The extra three pins are only used for remote control data to other B&O products, so they are spare in this application. Using five pin DIN plugs allows the cables to also fit pre-1986 B&O products, which used five pin DIN sockets.

Important note: This cable should not be used to connect to B&O speakers, it is intended only when connecting a B&O TV or audio system to other brands of amplifiers or speakers.
